Medical waste management

Medical waste management is one of the most ignored problems in developing and underdeveloped countries. Many of them don't have proper resources to dump medical wastes increasing the hazards related to this activity. Many scientists are involved in medical waste management research that involves finding techniques to deal with expired medicines, counterfeit medications and medical syringes. Improper medical waste management could lead to unnecessary problems to workers involved in such activities. Such workers are unduly exposed to used medical materials that could prove potentially harmful. Although the issue of medical waste disposal may not seem very grave to many it is in actuality a matter of concern.
